HUD and the DOJ are devoting more money and resources than ever to discover fair housing violations, Supported by local and national advocacy organizations, they have focused their attention on the rights of the disabled, sexual harassment and resident-on-resident disputes to a greater degree than ever before.
In addition, the increase in public education and enforcement has given rise to more awareness by the public of their rights and an increase in accusations of discrimination, harassment and retaliation.
This session will explore how to effectively comply with local and federal fair housing laws to minimize the possibility of being the subject of a complaint or lawsuit.
