Training Overview

Many of MIH’s partners offer frequent trainings that pertain to disabilities, accessible housings or both.  Please refer to the following trainings pages to see if there is a training you may be interested in attending.

We have also created a Housing Trainings Calendar that details specific trainings of other partners that are coming up in the near future.

Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) Training Center

The CSH Supportive Housing Training Center offers practical, interactive training solutions that empower people to learn about, build and provide high-quality supportive housing in their community. The Training Center includes hundreds of webinars & webinar series, self-paced online classes and videos.

Maryland Developmental Disabilities Administration Trainings

​The Developmental Disabilities Administration’s Training Unit provides training opportunities in all four regions of the state. These trainings are primarily free and are open to all stakeholders including people with disabilities, their families, support staff, advocates, provider agency staff, and DDA Staff. Training opportunities that are provided by the DDA, go beyond those required by regulation. Most trainings are offered in classroom or conference settings however more trainings are being offered via webinar. The DDA is partnering with Seeking Employment, Equality and Community (SEEC) for People with Developmental Disabilities to create a comprehensive framework for competency-based training for Direct Support Professionals in Maryland.

Maryland DDA Technology First Task Force Trainings

The Maryland Department of Health – Developmental Disabilities Administration’s (DDA) Technology First Task Force is excited to invite you to their first-ever monthly DDA “Tech Tuesday’s” lunch and learn series leading up to the anniversary of Maryland being a Technology First State. During this monthly series, they will dive into how Marylanders with developmental disabilities can utilize various technologies to LIVE, WORK and PLAY in the communities of their choice.

National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) Trainings

NLIHC events bring together housing advocates of all types from across the country. We believe that together, we can achieve everything we imagine. NLIHC also provides webinars to virtually connect and strengthen our network.

Technical Assistance Collaborative Trainings

Through the following services, TAC provides customized assistance to meet the unique policy, programmatic, and financing needs of each client with regard to its housing, health, and human services systems.
