Four Maryland Jurisdictions Recieve New HUD Funding for Housing Vouchers

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has announced the award of $24.7 million to 98 local public housing authorities (PHAs) across the country to provide permanent affordable housing to non-elderly persons with disabilities. Maryland’s Public Housing Authorities were awarded the following amount of mainstream vouchers: Carroll County – 10, Calvert County – 10, Frederick (city) – 10, Baltimore County – 50.

“MIH is delighted with the continued expansion of housing vouchers for Marylanders in these jurisdictions,” said MIH Executive Director Tim Wiens.
