Meet New MIH Board Treasurer Ron Taylor

On July 1, Athelas Institute, Inc. CFO Ron Taylor will begin his new post as Board Treasurer of Maryland Inclusive Housing. He will join CEO of N. Burton Consulting, LLC Nick Burton; Compass, Inc. Executive Director Rick Callahan; retired Maryland Department of Health Director for Fiscal Services and Operations Valerie Roddy as new members of the MIH Board.

“Ron is exactly the type of person we were looking for to be our Board Treasurer and head up our finance committee with his very impressive education and experience in non-profit financial management,” said MIH Executive Director Tim Wiens

“There is no better job satisfaction than helping the disadvantaged or underserved have an improved quality of life,” said Taylor of his appointment to the Board.

As CFO of Athelas Institute, Inc., Ron serves an organization providing support services to adults with intellectual and developmental differences in the Washington/ Baltimore region.

Prior to this current role, Ron spent 20 years consulting with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and CBRE, providing accounting and advisory services to global Fortune 100 companies in various business sectors.

Additionally, Ron has also served as the Director of Finance and Operations for Erickson Living, managing the accounting, billing & collections, contract management, reporting and operations functions. Throughout his career, aside from leading the day-to-day financial operations activities, Ron has excelled in partnering with organization leaders, advisory boards and staff members on long-term strategic planning to ensure organization goals are supported.

Ron received an MBA from Regis University in Denver and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from the George Washington University’s-Milken Institute. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in Healthcare Administration from Virginia University of Lynchburg.
